Looking for books for your summer reading enjoyment?
The library is a great place to stock up on some affordable fiction and nonfiction finds.
Currently, a collection of VHS movies are for sale as well. With new additions daily, stop by the library and check out the sale items in the front entryway. As always, the library accepts donations with the exception of encyclopedias or textbooks that are more than five years old. A charitable donation receipt is given upon request.
Patricia Rogers will continue to host the genealogy workshop on Ancestry.com Library Edition at the Yadkin County Public Library. This workshop is held from 10:00 am – 11:00 am on Tuesday mornings. If you are interested in learning how to research your family history or need help in using Ancestry.com, come learn what all Ancestry.com Library Edition has to offer. This workshop is free and open to the public.
The Yadkin County Public Library is holding an aluminum can drive. We are working towards filling our trailer. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of new large print books. Our trailer is located in the library’s parking lot, directly behind the library. Help us fill our trailer with cans and our large print shelves with new books!
Yadkin Christian Ministries is in need of pantry items to restock their shelves. Items most needed are laundry detergent, dish detergent, dried beans, crackers, cookies, cereals, flour, sugar, personal hygiene products and paper products. If you have items you would like to donate, stop by the Yadkin County Public Library and drop them in the Yadkin Christian Ministries box.
