Listed on the National register of historic places and the civil war trail, docent guided tours of the home of Justice Pearson will be available at free admission, donations to continue restoration are always appreciated. Special guest, historian Marion Venable will read civil war solders letters at 3:00 p.m. •2:30 p.m.-Phyllis R. Hoots of Forsyth County will present a history of the Red Strings, or Heroes of America, a secret Unionist organization formed during the Civil War, at the Yadkinville County Senior Center. The Red Strings were active in the Quaker-Moravian Belt of Piedmont North Carolina. Membership included men who did not want the South to secede from the United States. Their tactics helped end the Civil War. The Yadkin County Historical Society will sponsor this program, which is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Andrew L. •3 p.m.-6 p.m.-The Yadkin County Humane Society will host a Spay-ghetti Dinner at the Yadkinville Volunteer Fire Department. Plates are $6 and include spaghetti, salad, bread and a drink. Attendees can dine in or take out. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door.
