EAST BEND - The third-ranked Lady Falcons’ perfect record will be put to the test this week.

Forbush, sitting third in Eurosports’ latest 2A state rankings at 14-0, will face two of its stiffest challenges on back-to-back nights this week in East Bend.

First, the Falcons welcome Northwest Conference rival Surry Central to town Tuesday night.

The Eagles, the 11th-ranked squad in the 2A, reeled off nine straight wins to open the season before struggling as of late. Surry Central sits at 12-2-1 on the year and 6-2-1 in conference play.

Then Forbush hosts 3A powerhouse West Rowan in a marquee matchup between two of the top teams in the state.

West boasts a perfect 14-0 mark on the year and is ranked second in Eurosports latest 3A rankings.

While the Falcons have only been tested twice on the season - 3-1 win over West Stokes and 3-0 win over Ashe County - West is battled tested with six of their 14 wins coming by three goals or less.
