RALEIGH — Six matches, six sweeps.

The Lady Rams breezed past Raleigh Charter in straight sets Saturday to capture the 1A North Carolina High School Athletic Association Volleyball State Championship in dominating fashion at Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh.

Led by the senior trio of Erin Barr, Hunter Welborn and Haley Hartman, Starmount trailed once to the Phoenix Saturday en route to the program’s fourth volleyball title.

But the 2013 Rams accomplished something the other three squads couldn’t - a perfect run through the playoffs - six straight sweeps.

Barr was named the match Most Valuable Player.
