Staff Report

December 7, 2013

A Yadkinville man is under arrest following his alleged theft of tools.

Martin Junior Andrews III, 28, is a resident of Friendly Road in Yadkinville. The charges against him, relating to the theft of tools from his employer, are anything but friendly though.

Andrews was arrested Monday following a joint operation by the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office and the Elkin Police Department. The sheriff’s office received an anonymous tip that Andrews allegedly had stolen tools from a company he was working for in Elkin.

The tools were located at a pawn shop in Yadkinville, and Andrews was charged with one count of felony obtaining property by false pretense.

He was given an unsecured $2,500 bond and made his first appearance in court Wednesday.
