Grant available for Yadkin County nonprofit group

The Board of Advisors of the Yadkin County Community Foundation (YCCF) will award up to $3,410 in grants to local nonprofits in 2014, according to Bonnie Lasky, YCCF grants chair. Funds are available for nonprofit organizations that serve general charitable needs in Yadkin County.

Applications are available online only. Visit nccommunityfoundation.org for information about applying online. Applications will be accepted beginning on March 14 through April 22. Applicants are encouraged to apply for up to the full amount of $3,410.

The Yadkin County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation. The Yadkin County Legacy Fund, YCCF’s community grant-making fund, was established to provide a permanent source of support for local charitable needs through annual grants.

In addition to Lasky, Yadkin County Community Foundation Board members are: John Willingham, Chair; Lisa Drum, Secretary; Monta Davis-Oliver; the Rev. Richard Eskew; Tom Fagerli; Chris Funk; Hope Hardy; Tommy Jester; Natalie Kennedy; Darrell McCormick; and Kenneth Reavis.
