YADKINVILLE — Filing for Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor will start Monday at noon and end on July 7 at noon. There will be two seats open for a four year term. The filing fee is $5.
A run-off primary election will take place on July 15 for candidates Gardenia Henley and Josh Brannon, Democrats running for the 5th congressional district. One-Stop voting for the second primary will take place July 3 through July 12. There will be no One-Stop voting on July 4 because the date is a state and county holiday. One-stop voting will be held week days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and July 12 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the upstairs Conference Room in the Permits/Elections Building at 213 E. Elm St. Yadkinville on the second floor. Democrats and unaffiliated voters who voted a Democrat ballot in the May 6 primary or an unaffiliated voter who did not vote at all in the primary will be eligible to vote in the second primary.
The general election will be Nov. 4.
