Ride raises $10K for regional library

The Northwestern Regional Library sponsored the sixth annual Freeborne’s Ride for Readers on June 10. More than $10,000 was raised that will help purchase ebooks.

The host sponsor this year was Freeborne’s Eatery and Lodge in Laurel Springs who provided lunch for the riders. Music was provided by Bad Mountain Brew.

The winner of the 50/50 raffle was Heidi Kimbell; Ann Pryor of Huntersville won the best poker hand; and Don Lambiotte of the Charlotte area won the worst poker hand. All winners generously donated their winnings back to the Northwestern Regional Library.
