American Legion makes improvements at post

Members of American Legion Post 505 are inviting any and all veterans to the next meeting which will be held at 7 p.m. on Sept. 1.

The American Legion is the largest veteran’s organization in the world. The members of the American Legion assist veterans and their families in need. The American Legion also helps the members of the community who need assistance. Members of Post 505 have built handy cap ramps in homes, assisted in getting a leaking roof replace for a widow, and deliver meals prepared by the post at Christmas time.

Members of the American Legion Post 505 and the Ladies Auxiliary spent the better part of two Saturdays cleaning and painting the post building. The members are working very hard to make the American Legion Post a family friendly post. Members of the Ladies Auxiliary including Hazel Macy, Jean Pike, and Joan Knight, and American Legion member Doug Anderson assisted with the project.

American Legion Post 505 is located at 3351 Semper Fi Lane which is located off Bethel Church Road just pasted Bethel Church on left.
