The 12th annual Yadkin Valley Grape Festival will take place Saturday in downtown Yadkinville behind the Chamber of Commerce building, located at 205 S. Jackson St. There are more than 20 area wineries participating in the festival which also will include live entertainment, food, craft vendors and more.
“We are excited for the upcoming 12th annual Yadkin Valley Grape Festival happening this weekend,” said Jamie Johnston of the Yadkin County Chamber of Commerce. “The weather is going to be perfect to taste the wonderful wines from the Yadkin Valley. We have visitors that are coming from all over to attend this year’s festival. It’s going to be a great day in the Yadkin Valley.”
The festival begins at 11 a.m., with musical entertainment from The Rockers beginning at noon, followed by a performance by Phatt City at 3 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and may be purchased from the Yadkin County Chamber of Commerce or $25 at the gate. A military discount is available at the gate.
Food vendors at the festival will include Moe’s Southwest Grill, Ann’s Concession, Big Country BBQ, Chilson Foods, Munchie Wagon and
Sommano Sihrath. Other vendors will be on hand selling jewelry, cookbooks, cosmetics and more.
Participating wineries will be Brandon Hills Vineyards, Brushy Mountain Winery, Carolina Heritage Vineyards, Cellar 4201, Chatham Hill Winery, Chestnut Trail Vineyard, Divine Llama Vineyards, Dobbins Creek Vineyard, Flint Hill Vineyards, Grassy Creek Vineyards, Hanover Park Vineyards, Herrera Vineyards, Lazy Elm Vineyards, Native Vines Winery, RagApple Lassie Vineyards, Sanders Ridge Vineyards, Shadow Springs Vineyards, Slightly Askew Winery, Stony Knoll Vineyards, Surry Cellars, Sweet Home Carolina Vineyards, Weathervane Winery and Windsor Run Cellars.
