EAST BEND — Officials from Yadkin County have scheduled two informational meetings regarding the East Bend Waterline Project. The new waterline, which will bring water from Forsyth County to East Bend, will be constructed along Old U.S. Highway 421 between the Yadkin/Forsyth County line and the town of East Bend.
A letter was sent from the county to property owners along the proposed route for the waterline. The meetings will be primarily to explain the easements to those property owners.
The meeting for property owners in the East Bend Fire District is scheduled for March 10 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at East Bend Elementary School, located at 205 School St.
Property owners in the Forbush Fire District are invited to attend a meeting on March 17 at 7 p.m. at Myers Auction Service, located at 6236 E. Old U.S. 421 Highway.
“If you are unable to attend the meeting scheduled for your fire district, you may attend the other meeting. The same information will be available at both meetings,” said County Manager Lisa Hughes.
“Easement agreements will be presented for execution between you, as the property owner, and Yadkin County,” Hughes explained of the meeting. “An explanation of these easements will be available at each meeting. Please be sure that you bring with you a valid picture ID for identification purposes. If you own the property with other individuals who are unable to attend the meeting, please bring a list of the other property owners, including their names and addresses.”
