BOONVILLE — This Saturday, the Boonville Business and Downtown Development Association will host its third annual Boonville Summer Bash and Bash Dash at Boonville Elementary School.

“This year it will be bigger and better than ever,” said Boonville Commissioner Bonnie Lasky. “I am so pleased with how the event has grown and evolved over these three short years. Last year we added the Bash Dash 5K and one mile fun run. This year we are excited to add a kid zone. We also have a phenomenal lineup of music for the day. With music, food, craft vendors, etc., there’s something for all ages. We hope everyone will grab their family and friends and join us for a fun and wonderful time in Boonville.”

The Summer Bash will kick off with a kid’s mile fun run and a 5k hosted by the Boonville Business Association and Boonville Elementary School. The fun run will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the 5k starting promptly at 8 a.m. The awards ceremony and door prize give away will be held after the race. The festival will begin at noon with food and craft vendors, a silent auction, kid zone, and live entertainment featuring Taylor Vaden and Memphis Thunder, Blue Sky and Phatt City.

Taylor Vaden and Memphis Thunder will perform from 1 to 3 p.m. followed by Blue Sky from 3:30to 4:30 p.m. and Phatt City will round out the day with their performance from 5 to 8 p.m.

“This is a community-oriented event to celebrate all things Boonville,” said Town Administrator Sarah Harris. “We have multiple church groups, youth groups, nonprofits that will be selling items to help raise money. Our Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee will be fundraising for a park by having a dunking booth. Boonville Elementary school will be selling concessions and face painting to raise money for a new sign. This event will provide a fun-family atmosphere but most importantly will bring the community together to celebrate Boonville.”
