On Sept. 13, Yadkin County United Fund will host a Business After Hours event showcasing the 2016-17 Campaign Print Artist from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Front Yard on Main Street in Yadkinville. The celebration is a partnership with Yadkin County Schools and in conjunction with the Yadkin County Chamber of Commerce.
Local students were invited to submit original artwork inspired by Yadkin County. Katelyn Swaim’s print, “Granny’s Apple Pie,” was chosen as the winner. Swaim’s artwork was selected to represent Yadkin County United Fund as the 2016 print artist. Donors who gave $100 or more in last year’s fundraising campaign will receive the print as a thank you gift from Yadkin County United Fund.
The public is encouraged to attend the reception.
“Come out and see the amazing work being produced by this local Starmount High School student and meet the artist. Signed copies will be given to donors at the event that gave $100 or more to our most recent campaign,” said Executive Director Dottie Jackson.
