YADKINVILLE — On July 17, Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a property dispute call that lead to recovering stolen property from Winston-Salem and Albemarle.
According to the sheriff’s office, the alleged offenders were in business together and decided to part ways. When the property was not distributed equally, one of the partners stated there was stolen equipment in a warehouse they both shared.
Detectives were able to locate the equipment on the property of one of the offenders. After a check of serial numbers, it was determined the equipment had been reported stolen by Albemarle and Winston-Salem police departments.
Curtis Wayne Blevins Jr., 32, of Boonville, was arrested on July 21 and charged with one count felony possession of a stolen firearm and one count felony possession of stolen goods/property. He was given an unsecured $5,000 bond.
Bobby Shannon Jones, 31, of Boonville, was arrested on July 22 and charged with one count felony possession of stolen goods/property. He was given a $2,500 secured bond. Both have court dates on Sept. 16.
