BOONVILLE — On July 28, Jeffrey William McMurray Holt, 47, of Black Mountain, was arrested and charged with two counts of felony indecent liberties with a child, two counts of felony attempted second-degree sex offense and one count misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. He was given a $75,000 secured bond and a court date of July 30.
On June 1, the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to Elchenburg Castle Camp Grounds in Boonville where the victim and friends from Forsyth County reported being approached by the alleged offender on May 31.
The victim reported that Holt befriended them, showed them around the area and provided them with alcohol. After the allegations were reported, an investigation took place and Holt turned himself in to detectives at the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office.
