Local business owner meets with legislators


Rid-A-Bug VP/GM Marty Roberts of Hamptonville recently met with Pest Professionals from all across the state to discuss issues affecting the industry. He met with Sen. Shirley Randleman, Sen. Joyce Krawiec, Rep. Lee Zachary, Rep. Jeffery Elmore, Rep. Rena W. Turner and many more to discuss issues concerning pest management professionals in NC and let them know of the efforts put forth to protect the public from health issues brought on from mosquitoes and other pests. As protectors of public health, food and property from disease and dangers of pest 75 percent of those companies are five employees or less. Rid-a-Bug in Hamptonville employs 45 individuals. “I have a passion to educate and promote the pest management industry as well as help fellow pest professionals do the same,” said Roberts, … “and to put the P back into pest professional.”
