On Jan. 20, detectives with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office, Yadkinville Police Department and the State Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant at 1352 Myers Road in Yadkinville. The search warrant was a result of narcotics investigation by the sheriff’s office for the distribution of marijuana and heroin at that location.
The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office has received multiple complaints by concerned citizens living in the area about this issue. The residence on Myers Road was occupied by 19-year-old Jordan Hakeem Shajuan Sawyers and 29-year-old Neftaly Rosado.
Both Sawyers and Rosado were located in the residence during the search warrant allegedly with 178 grams of marijuana for distribution, and a large amount of drug paraphernalia used to sell and distribute marijuana and heroin.
The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office has arrested and charged Sawyers and Rosado with two counts of felony possession of marijuana, two felony counts of possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana, two felony counts of maintaining a dwelling for the sale of controlled substances, and two felony counts of conspiracy to sell and distribute marijuana.
Sawyers received a $15,000 secured bond and Rosado received a $25,000 secured bond. Sawyers and Rosado both are scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 27. Additional charges are pending and the investigation is still ongoing.
