A Mount Airy man was arrested on Friday by Yadkin County law enforcement and charged with multiple drug-related offenses.
Detectives reported seeing two cars violating handicapped parking regulations in a local store’s parking lot on July 1 around 5 p.m. Observing suspicious behavior, Yadkinville Police and Yadkin Sheriff’s detectives approached the vehicles and found methamphetamine (crystal meth) in plain view, according to the police department report. A search of the suspects and vehicles yielded two handguns, 26 Oxycodone tablets and various paraphernalia associated with drug use.
Jody Clayton Inman, 36, of 247 Bunker Road, was arrested and charged with two counts possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance, two counts of possession of firearm by felon, one count of maintaining a vehicle for the use, sell and transport of controlled substances, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of carrying a concealed weapon.
Inman received a $250,000 secured bond. Inman has numerous pending drug charges in Surry County, according to officers.
