Three Yadkinville residents were arrested last week for alledgedly stealing checks from a home they had been visiting.
On June 22, a victim on Courtney Huntsville Road contacted the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office to report she had some of her checks stolen. Her bank had contacted her regarding a suspicious check written to a local business.
Following an investigation, the sheriff’s office alleged that Robert Paul Owens, Joshua Logan White and Norma Ann Richardson stole the checks when they visited the victim’s house last month.
Owens, 26, White, 29, and Richardson, 23, were arrested and each charged with one felony count of conspire to obtain property by false pretenses, one misdemeanor count of larceny and one misdemeanor count of conspiracy. Richardson was also charged with one felony count of uttering a forged instrument. Owens was arrested on July 13 and given a secured $2,500 bond with a court date of Aug. 18. White and Richardson were arrested on July 14 and each given a secured bond of $5,000 each with a court date of July 29.
