HAMPTONVILLE — Two area residents were charged last week in regard to stolen farm equipment at a home in Hamptonville.
On July 10, a Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office deputy was called out to Sweet Clover Drive in Hamptonville regarding a breaking and entering. The victim came to check on her deceased parents’ property and found the front door of the residence open and also saw some farm equipment missing from outside.
After an ensuing investigation and with the help of Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office and other concerned citizens, Whitney Nicole Sizemore, 24, and Cameron Tyler Carter, 22, both of Hamptonville, were both arrested on July 23 for the alleged theft.
Both were charged with one count of felony conspire to break/entering a building with intent to commit felony larceny, one count of felony larceny, one count of breaking and entering, one count of felony larceny after breaking/entering and one count of possession of stolen property.
Both were given secured $15,000 bonds with a court date of July 24. The farm equipment was recovered from Wilkes County and the investigation is ongoing.
