EAST BEND — An East Bend man is facing a number of felony drug-related charges following a four-month investigation.
On Thursday, the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office, East Bend Police Department and NC State Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant on Shoals Road in Yadkin County. The search warrant was the result of the investigation into the distribution of controlled substances by Jerry Kent Faw, 50. During the search warrant, marijuana and opiates were located resulting in additional charges.
Faw was arrested and charged with three felony counts of selling a schedule VI controlled substance, one felony count of selling a schedule II controlled substance, four felony counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or distribute a schedule VI controlled substance, three felony counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or distribute a schedule II controlled substance, five felony counts of maintaining a dwelling for the sale of controlled substances, two felony counts of trafficking of opiates, one felony count of possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Faw was given a $75,000 secured bond and has a court date of Oct. 17.
