YADKINVILLE — The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office charged 13 suspects with charges relating to selling and distributing illegal narcotics in Yadkin County.


The arrests were on Dec. 12 and were part of a 12-month undercover investigation.


According to the sheriff’s office, during the past year numerous purchases were made from the 13 individuals by officers. The officers purchased marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine, and various types of opiate prescription pain medications.


The office said 66 suspects were charged with various drug offenses that occurred during 2013. The drug offenses totaled 322 felonious charges for the year.


“We will continue to focus on the priorities of property and drug crimes. If you are stealing or dealing, you are not welcome in Yadkin County,” said Sheriff William R. Oliver.


The following people were arrested and charged:


• Dalemar Lee Rose, 60, Old Hwy. 60, Ronda, was charged with one count of possession with the intent to manufacture sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, one count of sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, one count of maintaining a drug vehicle, and one count of conspiracy with Larry Williams. Rose’s bond was set at $15,000 secure.


• Larry Marvin Williams, 53, Ruritan Road, Roaring River, was charged with one count of possession with the intent to manufacture sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, one count of sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, and one count of conspiracy with Dalemar Rose. Williams’ bond was set at $10,000 secure.


• Billy Ray Walker, 55, Old Hwy. 60, Ronda, was charged with one count of possession with the intent to manufacture sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, one count of sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, one count of maintaining a drug vehicle, and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Walker also had pending charges in Wilkes County and his bond was set at $15,000 secure in each county.


• Joseph Alvin Ray, 66, Sleepy Hollow Lane, Hamptonville, was charged with three counts of possession with the intent to manufacture sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, three counts of sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, two counts of maintaining a drug vehicle and dwelling, and three counts of trafficking in opiates by sell, possession, and delivery. Each trafficking was for more than four grams but less than 14 grams of opiates. Ray’s bond was set at $500,000 secure.


• William Charles Collins, 51 Congo Road, Wilkesboro, was charged with one count of possession with the intent to manufacture sell/deliver schedule VI controlled substances, one count of sell/deliver schedule VI controlled substances, one count of possession with the intent to manufacture sell/deliver schedule III controlled substances, one count of sell/deliver schedule III controlled substances, one count of maintaining a drug vehicle and four counts of trafficking in opiates by sell, possession, transport and delivery. Each trafficking was for more than four grams but less than 14 grams of opiates. Collins’ bond was set at $250,000 secure.


• Amanda Lynn Steelman, 23, East Old Hwy. 421, Yadkinville was charged with one count of possession with the intent to manufacture sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, one count of sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances. Also, the Yadkinville Police Department charged Steelman with one count of possession with the intent to manufacture sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, one count of sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances and one count of maintaining a drug vehicle. Steelman’s bond was set at $10,000 secure.


• Jeremy Taylor Norman, 37, Osborne Creek Road, Hamptonville, was charged with one count of possession with the intent to manufacture sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, one count of sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, and one count of maintaining a drug vehicle. Norman’s bond was set at $10,000 secure.


• Trista Michelle Whitaker, 29, River Road, Boonville, was charged with one count of possession with the intent to manufacture sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, one count of sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, and one count of conspiracy with Luther Blevins Jr. Whitaker’s bond was set at $25,000 secure.


• Noah Junior Toler Jr., 35, Walnut Road, Hamptonville, was charged with three counts of possession with the intent to manufacture sell/deliver schedule III controlled substances, three counts of sell/deliver schedule III controlled substances, one count of conspiracy and two counts of trafficking in opiates by possession, and delivery. Each trafficking charge was for more than four grams but less than 14 grams of opiates. Toler’s bond was set at $250,000 secure.


• Matthew Thomas Macy, 23, Benbow Road, East Bend, was charged with two counts of possession with the intent to manufacture sell/deliver schedule VI controlled substances, two counts of sell/deliver schedule VI controlled substances, three counts of possession with the intent to manufacture sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, three counts of sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances. Macy’s bond was set at $50,000 secure.


Two other individuals are being held in the N.C. Department of Corrections and will be served with their warrants when they are brought from the N.C. DOC for a first appearance.


• David Ray Morgan, 42, Nesbit Road, Mooresville was charged with one count of possession with the intent to manufacture sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances and one count of sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances.


• Luther Jefferson Blevins Jr., 25, Steelman Road, Yadkinville, was charged with one count of possession with the intent to manufacture sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, one count of sell/deliver schedule II controlled substances, and one count of conspiracy with Trista Whitaker.


An additional person was charged, but the sheriff’s office did not release the person’s age or address. The name was withheld from publication pending verification the person is an adult.
