EAST BEND — A lot is expected when you are coming off a 25-1 season with 16 returning players.
“Our goal is to win the conference,” Forbush Coach Kenan James said Monday. “It starts with having a high seed for the playoffs. We have some good senior leadership. We have a lot of experience.
“We’d love to play for a state championship.”
The seniors have been to the Western regional finals two of their three varsity years.
James said the process this season involves some tweaking, becoming more organized offensively and defensively. He also says “we probably haven’t finished our chances as we will later in the season.
“We’re just trying to become a better team,” he added.
Strengths, James said, is the team’s “technical and tactical ability.” And, he added, “there’s the camaraderie and family atmosphere.”
The Falcons feature senior forward Haley Lindsay, who has committed to Campbell; and senior forward Maddi Morsch who is undecided on her college plans.
