The Small Business Center of Surry Community College will offer a free seminar titled “Setting Up Quickbooks Pro for Your Small Business.”
There are two opportunities to attend this seminar on Sept. 9, 2013 in the morning or evening. The seminar will be presented at the Elkin Center, 1461 North Bridge Street in Elkin from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m. The session will be repeated at the Center for Public Safety (former Workforce Development Center) located at 1220 State Street in Mount Airy that same evening from 6:15 until 8:15 p.m.

This seminar covers the important basics necessary to set up a company data file in Quickbooks. Topics include: the chart of accounts; setting up users; understanding the basics of financial statements; backing up data files; and an open question-and-answer session. Please note this is an introductory seminar. Semone Brisson Crowell will be the instructor for the session. Crowell has operated an accounting business in Salisbury for 18 years and has been a presenter/instructor at several community colleges.
