YADKINVILLE — Two Yadkin County residents were arrested on drug-related charges over the weekend at a local motel.
On Saturday at about 1 p.m., the Yadkinville Police Department received information that unknown persons had possession of narcotics in room 17 of the Boxwood Motel, 132 W. Main St., Yadkinville.
While conducting an investigation, officers discovered two occupants in possession of several narcotics, according to a release from the police department. Narcotics found included crack cocaine and prescription drugs Xanax, Alpraolam and Oxycodone, in addition to items used to process, manufacture and sale narcotics.
Pauline Lashon Glenn of 209 Oakland Blvd., Boonville, and Shawn Raymond Clemins of 3700 Shaktown Road, Yadkinville, were charged with possession with intent to sell, deliver and manufacture schedule II narcotics; possession with intent to sell, deliver and manufacture schedule IV narcotics; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both received $4,000 bonds and had a court appearance Monday. The investigation is ongoing.
