YADKINVILLE — On Dec. 23, 2013, detectives from the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office charged Kedrick Tyrone Burns, 21, and Tequita Tangette Hill, 31, both from Winston-Salem, with one count of felony breaking and entering, one count of felony larceny after breaking and entering, and one count of misdemeanor property damage each.


The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office had received a report from a resident in the Yadkinville area that someone had broken into their residence and had stolen several items. Detectives were able to collect several pieces of evidence from the scene and with that evidence Detectives were able to link Burns and Hill to the crimes, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.


Burns received a $20,000 secured bond and is being held at the Stokes County Jail with similar charges. Hill received a $5,000 secured bond and is being held at the Rockingham County Jail with similar charges as well.


The lock box containing the savings bonds were recovered.
