HAMPTONVILLE — While attempting to service an arrest warrant for charges of injury to personal property and communicating threats, the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office reported finding items allegedly used for making methamphetamine in a Hamptonville residence.


According to the release, officers went to the home of Marshall Freeman, 31, on Bethel Church Road. Once there Freeman allegedly attempted to flee from the officers on foot. Police said Freeman was quickly apprehended.


The release said an additional search of the house was conducted and officers uncovered items allegedly used in the manufacturing and production of methamphetamine, along with marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.


Authorities charged Freeman with resist, obstruct and delay of an officer (two counts), injury to personal property, communicating threats, felony possession/distribution of methamphetamine precursor chemicals and felony maintain dwelling.


Freeman is being held in the Yadkin County Detention Center under a combined bond amounts of $30,000 secure.
