Chase McCormick of Dobson held off Chris Cheek for the second straight week to claim the SeCA Crate Late Model feature at Friendship Motor Speedway Saturday night.


McCormick and Cheek have been the most consistent performers in the division. McCormick came into the night 42 points behind Cheek in the points standings.


Stephanie Caudle Clew of Cooleemee won her second straight UCars feature. Clew, who came into the night 23 points ahead of Jeff Martin in the points standings, added slightly to her lead as Martin finished second.


Other winners were Richard Clew, of Harmony, in the Open Wheel Modifieds; Shaun Robinson, of West Jefferson, in the Renegades; and Randy Powell, of Lincolnton, in the Xtreme Stock 4.


Racing continues Saturday night with all divisions in action. Saturday night is also a double points night. The FUEL racing series returns Sept. 13.
