•2:30 p.m.-ABANDONED CEMETERIES IN YADKIN COUNTY. Andrew L. Mackie, chair of the cemetery committee for the Yadkin County Historical Society, will present a program on abandoned cemeteries in Yadkin County at the Yadkin County Senior Center, 207 East Hemlock Street, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Mackie will review the recent resolution approved by the Yadkin County Board of Commissioners that declares March as Abandoned Cemeteries Awareness Month. It encourages families, property owners, and volunteers to preserve these graveyards, which are an important part of Yadkin County’s cultural heritage. He will also review the committee’s progress to study Yadkin County’s 600 abandoned cemeteries and publish a revised list of the information contained in them. Topics of discussion will be: Cattle Health, Deworming, Effective Vaccination to Improve Health and Make Your Calves More Marketable. We will also discuss the new Livestock Traceability Rules.
