Couple celebrates 60 years of marriage

Coy M. and Dorothy Hoots McCollum of Pfafftown celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 8 with a reception at Enon Baptist Church Family Life Center.

Over 100 guest attended the event. The hosts were the couple’s daughter and son-in-law, David and Jamie McCollum of Elkin. Also assisting were their grandchildren, Brittany McCollum, a rising senior at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, N.J. and Kenton McCollum a rising junior at Forbush High School. Mr.

Mr. McCollum is retired from Reynolds Tobacco Company and from real estates sales. Mrs. McCollum is retired from Yadkin County Schools, where she taught at Forbush Elementary for 35 years.
