Forsyth man arrested in Yadkin on multiple drug charges

The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office issued arrest warrants for William Walter Gambill II, 30, of 1000 Greenly Drive, Pfafftown.

Gambill was arrested by officers with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 5.

According to arrest reports, officers with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office were conducting a narcotics investigation and stopped Gambill’s vehicle on Highway 421 in Yadkinville. After officers saw what they believed to be drug paraphernalia in the vehicle, a search warrant was issued and executed on Gambill’s vehicle. After officers completed their investigation arrest warrants were issued for Gambill.

Gambill was charged with trafficking in opium/heroin by possession, trafficking in opium/heroin by transport, two counts of possession with intent to manufacture sell and deliver of a scheduled II controlled substance, maintain a drug vehicle dwelling and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gambill was also cited for driving while his license was revoked and following too close.

Gambill is being held in the Forsyth County Detention Center under a $300,000 secure bond. Gambill is scheduled to appear in the Yadkin County District Court for his first appearance.
