Susie was born May 18, 1931 in Forsyth County to William Grady and Mattie Wagoner Doub.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Leslie G. Adams.
Susie is survived by a daughter, Donna Adams Hutchins; three grandchildren, Adam (Jean) Hutchins, and Lesley and Wesley Hutchins; two great-grandchildren, Noel and Holly Hutchins, all of Yadkinville; five brothers, Carlyle Doub of East Bend, George, Terry, and Albert Doub, all of Lewisville, and Shelby (Doris) Doub of Olin; three sisters, Nannie Lou (Charles) Blankenship of Coolemee, Juanita Henderson of Winston-Salem, and Lorene (Charles) Lashley of Farmington; nieces and nephews; and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Susie was a faithful member at Deep Creek Friends Church for over 50 years, where she served on the Hospitality Committee, President of Circle One, Missionary Aide, and Secretary of the Barclay Sunday School Class.
The family received friends on Thursday, Feb. 12 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
Funeral service for Susie Adams was held on Friday, Feb. 13 at Deep Creek Friends Church by the Rev. Lee Lane.
She lay in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
Burial followed in the church cemetery.

The family would like to express appreciation to Dr. Susan Yuson and the staff at Hoots Hospital for the loving care they gave to Susie each time she was hospitalized.
