On Oct. 10, detectives with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office arrested Garrett Matthew Blevins, 20, and Luther Jefferson Blevins Jr., 23, both of Yadkinville on charges of larceny of a firearm and obtaining property by false pretenses.

The sheriff’s office received a report of larceny of firearms from the victim which was a family member of the suspects, according to a sheriff’s office release. After further investigation, detectives discovered that five firearms were taken from the victim’s residence over a period of four months.

Detectives advised that the firearms were recovered from a local pawn shop and returned back to the victim. Each suspect was charged with five counts of larceny of a firearm and five counts of obtaining property by false pretenses. Both Garrett Blevins and Luther Blevins Jr. were released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
