Detectives with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office on July 5 arrested Amber Henderson Crawford, 29, of Hamptonville and Shawn Raymond Clemins, 33, of Yadkinville in connection with three separate break-ins.
The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a break-in at a home located on Longtown Road in Hamptonville on June 3, according to a sheriff’s office press release.
During a traffic stop at a local grocery store in Yadkinville on July 2, items reported to be taken from the break-in were located in Crawford’s vehicle, which led detectives to the arrest of Crawford. He was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, identity theft, forgery of endorsement, financial card theft and possession of stolen goods.
Crawford and Clemins were each charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering and injury to real property.
Also, on June 27 a resident on Petty Road in Hamptonville arrived home to find a female identified as Crawford exiting the residence through a window and left the scene in a vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office release. Detectives charged Crawford with felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.
Crawford is currently being held on a $15,000 secured bond while Clemins was released on a $500 unsecured bond and placed on the pre-trial release program.
