Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Bowden, formerly of Yadkinville, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Marshall and Phyllis were married on June 28, 1952 in her hometown of Rock Hill, SC.
The Bowdens lived in Yadkinville for 12 years, from 1952-1964. Marshall served as a county extension agent and Phyllis taught piano.
The couple has been living in Greensboro for the past 24 years. The Bowdens have four children, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
