Date Night

You can have a movie night right in Yadkin County. Starmount Crossing Cinema V in Jonesville will have showings of a wide selection of films for Valentine’s lovebirds.

“Mama,” a horror movie about sisters who are found abandoned in a home in the woods and are adopted by their uncle. But it seems they brought something with them.

If you’d like to see an Oscar-nominated love story check out “Silver Linings Playbook.” This film tells the story of a former teacher who spends some time in a mental institution and then moves back in with his parents while trying to balance reconciliation with his ex-wife and an exciting new relationship with an equally troubled girl.

If you want to go the safe route and see a romantic flick, check out “Safe Haven.” This is the story of a young woman who comes to Southport, N.C. and meets a widower who makes her address some dark topics of her past.

If action-packed is more your speed this Valentine’s Day try catching “A Good Day To Die Hard.” The fifth installment of the Die Hard collection takes John McClane to Russia to help his son. He soon discovers his son is a CIA operative on a mission to prevent a nuclear weapons heist and the father-son duo team up to fight.

Restaurants

Kitchen Roselli located at 105 E. Main St. in East Bend will offer a classic Italian menu with their signature cream puffs for dessert. Reservations are strongly recommended.
