The Yadkinville Board of Commissioners voted to revise the town’s leaf pick up schedule effective immediately at the town hall meeting on Nov. 5.
At the urging of Commissioner Phillip Graham, the town decided that the leaf pick up for residents needed to be increased to accommodate the needs of the town. The following is the new leaf pick up schedule for the remainder of 2012 and 2013:
November:
Tuesday, 6th
Tuesday, 20th
December:
Tuesday, 4th
Tuesday, 18th
January:
Tuesday, 2nd
Tuesday, 15th
Tuesday, 29th
Christopher Ong, Town Manager, reminds residents that the following rules still apply to leaf pickup:
- Leaves must be collected in clear plastic bags only
- Leave the bags near the edge of the street pavement
- Bags may only contain leaves
- No need to contact the Town to have leaves picked up
