Kelly Hoots, daughter of Teddy and Debbie Hoots of Yadkinville and student at Western Carolina University, was named overall Sophomore of the Year for the School of Health Sciences Athletic Training Educational Program for the 2011-2012 academic school year.
Her professors said they were impressed by her dedication to the program, her enthusiastic attitude during clinical rotations, her eagerness to volunteer in any setting and her striving for academic excellence.
Most recently Kelly was placed on the Dean’s list.
