The 5th Annual Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Benefit is a ride that benefits combat wounded veterans.

Registration will begin at 10 a.m. on May 4 at CrossRoads Harley-Davidson in Wilkesboro.

Registration fees are $20 for a single rider and $25 for two on a bike.

The 52 mile, police-escorted ride will begin sharply at 1 p.m. and will end at River City Bar & Grill in Lake Norman.

The event will include a live band, food and beverages, silent and live auction and a 50/50 giveaway. At last year’s event, the 50/50 winner won $800.

There will also be a presentation to the “Oldest Living Veteran in the High Country,” at CrossRoads Harley-Davidson followed by more live bands, presentations at River City Bar & Grill in Lake Norman, the ride’s ending location.

This ride’s sole purpose is to aid veterans. In the past this ride has benefited: The Fisher House of NC, Purple Heart Homes, Project Rover, Project Healing Waters, Project Healing Hunt, Welcome Home Vets and several individual veterans in need.

CrossRoads Harley-Davidson’s objective is to help the Combat Veteran Motorcycle Association reach their goal of 700 bikes participating in the ride this year. Be a part of the largest ride in our area, thank our veterans and help our combat wounded by coming out, giving and showing your support.

From all branches of the United States Armed Forces, the Combat Veterans Association is a group that rides motorcycles as a hobby. They have members from nearly all 50 states and living abroad.
