Town to foot $4,000 bill for fireworks
Yadkinville residents can expect to see a fireworks display once again this July 4. The Yadkinville Town Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to provide the $4,000 funding required to pull off the event for the town. Spring is coming, and activities are blooming at the Boonville Community Public Library. Preschool Story Time continues on Thursday mornings at 10:30 for ages 2-5 with songs, crafts and finger plays complementing the stories read. Wilkesboro man arrested at Hamptonville motel
The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect from North Wilkesboro on Feb. 22. Alvis Whitted Jr., 61, Whitted was wanted by the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office on charges of trafficking in opium/heroin and felony maintaining a drug dwelling.
