Teachers honored at board meeting

Monday night’s meeting of the Elkin City School Board began with recognition of the accomplishments of both staff and students.Superintendent Dr. Randy Bledsoe announced that Tina Marcus of the North Carolina Department of Instruction had visited Elkin Middle School, which is in the process of obtaining STEM certification, which integrates additional science, technology, engineering and mathemetics into the curriculum.
