JONESVILLE — It is often said there is a time and a season for all things.Former coach of Jonesville High School Joe Popp and Jonesville hometown girl Peggy Morrison Popp enjoyed the seasons of life as a team where family and blue-collar values rooted them in success in love, sports, work, business and family tradition, overcoming adversity and teaching.Children of the Popps — Joey, Karen and Jim — recalled their parents hard-working ethics and a gift of allowing them “to pick their own path” in life. They called their tough coaching legendary father, ultimately their biggest cheerleader, and their mother “the Rock of Gibraltar.” She always made the family happy, said the siblings.
