EAST BEND — The Forbush Falcons football team kicked off its contact practice in style on Saturday at 12:01 a.m.

The start of midnight madness is the true beginning of football season as it allows the players to be in a contact setting for the first time this season. After a week of conditioning, the Falcons were finally able to suit up and show the coaches their tackle skills.

The practice was held in the outfield of the Falcons softball field, as family and friends lined the outfield to get a glimpse of the team.

The Falcons kick off their season on Aug. 18 against West Wilkes. Last season the Falcons ended their season with an overall record of 5-6 and a conference record of 1-4.
