Forbush golfer Mallory Fobes has had a great start to the 2017 golf season. Fobes shot a 36 at Cedarbrook on Aug. 22, which is the course that will host this year’s regionals.
She also tied the school record for lowest round at the Yadkin Country Club by firing a -4 under 32. Fobes’ score is impressive because she didn’t birdie either par 5.
Fobes has played in more than 10 tournaments over the summer hoping to improve on her fourth-place finish in last year’s state finals. Earlier this month, Fobes verbally committed to play golf at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
