The 2017 Forbush High School prom was themed “Vintage Hollywood” and took place on April 1. The venue, Bermuda Run Country Club, sported a long, luxurious red carpet onto the dance floor.

Guests were greeted with a ticket booth upon their arrival inside thus giving the night even more of a movie premiere feel. In the lobby of the clubhouse, a TV was set up so that sports fanatics wouldn’t miss the “Final Four” basketball tournament game. By having the game on, the entire prom experience was made even more enjoyable for everyone involved. There was even a photo booth so prom-goers could enjoy some cute snapshots of their special night.

In the midst of the night, prom king and queen were awarded to two very lucky seniors. Carlie Taylor took home the crown for prom queen and Shane Hutchens was crowned with the cowboy hat for prom king. The new royalty danced to a slow song as the rest of the Forbush students awed over them.

No matter who you are, prom is a unique night for everyone. You truly get to choose and customize your night to however you want. The magic of this night will continue to be with teens for generations to come.
