The upcoming Forbush High School Future Farmers of America annual end-of-year banquet was held on May 9. All members were invited to the event which was held in the cafeteria.
This was a very important night to many, as the graduating members were recognized and said their farewells to their FFA family. Even though saying goodbye to the fellow graduating members will be sad, happiness will be found in welcoming the new FFA officers for next year.
Graduating member Alyssa Goforth, who had the job of being this year’s reporter, said the overall goal of the event will be to “recognize the senior members and officers and announce the new officers for the upcoming year.”
There also will be an end-of-year overview on all of the accomplishments and memories the club members made. The senior officers were announced and remembered with a photo, a favorite memory in FFA, and advice for future members. Although the event will be bittersweet, there will be a chapter of new beginnings to look forward to in the upcoming year.
