WINSTON-SALEM — Flow Buick of Winston-Salem will host a one-day test-drive event to help raise thousands of dollars for student programs at Starmount High School in Boonville. It’s all part of the Buick Drive For Your Students event taking place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 24 at Starmount High School.

“The Buick Drive for Your Students event presents a dynamic opportunity to support Starmount High School students, whose growth and development are of great value to the local community and state as a whole,” said Flow Buick GMC Executive General Manager Marty Edwards. “We are thrilled to play a role in accelerating students’ futures.”

Buick will donate $10 to the fund for every participant who test-drives a new Buick. If there are more than 100 test drives, Buick will double its donation to $20 per valid test drive. Up to $10,000 can be raised for the school.

“Starmount is absolutely thrilled to have Flow Buick offer this opportunity to raise funds for our athletic program,” said Starmount High School Principal Cody Hemric. “We hope everyone will come out and support our students. This is one of the greatest fundraisers ever. Students don’t have to sell anything, parents don’t have to buy anything — all you have to do is come do a test drive. It’s a great day to be a Ram.”

Participants must be 21 or older, possess a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

The Buick Drive For Your Students event is representative of the luxury brand’s commitment to academic achievement and builds off the success of The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program. Funded by the GM Foundation, Buick Achievers Scholarship awards 100 renewable scholarships of up to $25,000 per year. Since its inception in 2011, the program has awarded nearly $16.5 million to about 3,300 exceptional students.
