Mr. Joseph Norman “Joe” Sale of Lumberton passed away Tuesday Jan. 18, 2011, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 52.

Mr. Sale was born June 1, 1958, in Yadkin County to Rex and Virginia Allen Sale.

He was a member of Sandy Springs Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Harold and Nealie Sale and Elsie Hyde.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers Jerry Lee Sale and David Harold and wife Jamie Sale; two uncles Jerry and wife Margie Allen and Bill Sale; one aunt Kathryn Pardue; niece Amanda and husband Rex Brandon; great nieces Amanda Brooke Brandon, Aydin LeeAnn Brandon and great nephew Cody Rex Brandon.

A private family funeral service will be held on 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville with Rev. Joe Souther officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
