All season long, Kelli Bonner has led the Lady Rams, not just in scoring, but with a leadership role on the court.

Despite Bonner's efforts in the Lady Rams' opening round game of the state playoffs, the Newton-Conover Lady Red Devils were able to pull away from the Rams in the second half for the 70-41 win.

Bonner racked up 26 points during her final game in a Starmount uniform on Monday night.

Other scoring Rams include Paris Trivette, who had six, Amber Wooten, who had four, senior Becca Aplin, who had 3, and Courtney Barnes who had two.

For most of the first half, the Lady Rams matched the pace of the Red Devils, and only faced a 37-28 deficit at the half.

But the Red Devils exploded for 31 more in the second half, while holding Starmount to just 13.
