Alton Glenn Crutchley II, 54 and Mary Elizabeth Crutchley, 49 were both arrested on May 3 by the Yadkin County Sheriff's office

When officers went to 513 Fairground Road to check on a sex offender registry, they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the residence according to the press release.

Inside the residence officers found 15 marijuana plants that ranged in size from three to four feet tall. Also found inside the residence was a handgun, a shotgun and numerous items of paraphernalia.

Alton Crutchley was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug dwelling and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Mary Crutchley was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule VI controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug dwelling.

Alton Crutchley was placed in the Yadkin County jail under a $30,000 bond. Mary Crutchley was placed in the Yadkin County jail under a $15,000 bond.
